Cyber Pets!

This does not have anything to do with the technology class, but I just learned about this and I think it is so cool!

Students can now have cyber pets! At allaboutbirds.org students can watch birds live from Cornell Lab Bird Cams. Right now you can watch, LIVE, a nesting red tailed hawk, and in the future the hatch lings as they grow. Also you can watch Great Blue Herons nest.

There are so many opportunities with this in all subjects! Students learn the importance and excitement of caring for a pet while still respecting that they are wild animals. How cool! Experience nature form the safety of your classroom.
